Container Mixer

A mobile container is attached to the tilting mixing head in the container mixer. Together, the container and mixing head form the mixing chamber. The bearings and the drive for the mixing tool(s) are housed within the mixing head. Once the container and mixing-head unit is tilted 180° from its basic position into the mixing position, the material to be mixed is placed on the mixing tool and begins to get blended. After tilting the container back to its original position and lowering it, the container holding the mixture can then be removed from the mixer.

    Machine frame
The machine frame supports the stationary part of the mixer, as well as the tilting and mixing drive mechanisms. The machine frame features a robust, welded design made from carbon steel.
    Flat Mixing Head
The modular i4 mixing head system is designed to work seamlessly with the mixer's transportable container. For enhanced cleanability, the mixing head features a flat design and is crafted from a stainless-steel plate (1.4301).
    Suction device
The suction device is installed in the mixing head and is used to remove dust from the mixing vessel before opening.
The DN 50 connection is mounted to the machine frame.
The mixing head suction device is controlled by the PLC.
    Mixing tool set i4
The Color i4 mixing tool set is made from stainless steel (1.4301).
It creates a mixing vortex that ensures steady and rapid homogenization of the product. The increased distance between the mixing tool and the mixing head, combined with the reduced diameter of the mixing tool, effectively minimizes product buildup at the mixing head, thereby significantly cutting down cleaning time.

    Pneumatic control
The pneumatic control is mounted on the machine frame.
    Standard components: Aventics
    Siemens TP 700 Control System
The control system is based on a Siemens S7/1500 PLC with a TP 700 Comfort HMI.
The operator panel displays process data and status messages.
The mixing process can be defined in the form of work steps in a tabular format.
99 mixing programs, each with 10 working steps, are available.
The control system is not designed to be installed in any ATEX Zone.
    Control cabinet
The control cabinet houses all load, control, and safety interlocks. All electrical connections from actuators and sensors are routed from the mixer into the control cabinet to terminals for processing.
Rittal Control Cabinet: RAL 7035 (Light Grey)
    Protection class: IP 54 / NEMA 12
    Cable entry through the base.

  • Product temperature sensor (optional)
The temperature sensor installed in the mixing head detects the product temperature inside the mixing vessel.
The PT 100 sensor temperature is displayed on the HMI.
    5 Program buttons (optional)
The control cabinet or the operator panel is equipped with 5 program selection buttons. This allows the 5 assigned mixing programs to be activated directly.

  • The container serves as a transport container from the charging station to the mixer, as a mixing container inside the mixer, and again as a transport container from the mixer to the next processing station.
The container is movable using 2 fixed and 2 steering wheels.
The container is equipped with forklift pockets, enabling secure horizontal as well as vertical transport of the container using a forklift.
    Container discharge valve Ø200
A butterfly valve is used for discharge.
The nominal diameter of the discharge valve is 200 mm.
    Container made from stainless steel
The entire container, including its substructure, is made of stainless steel 1.4301.
The inner surface of the container has a mirror finish.
The outer surface is glass bead blasted and remains unpainted.
    Container flange with seal
The container is sealed to the mixing head using a sealing unit (made of Perbunan material) installed in the upper flange of the movable container.

  • The discharge station is used for dust-free emptying of the mixing containers.
The mobile containers are rolled into the discharge station using their wheels.
    The discharge station consists of:
Guide fork with pneumatic container fixing
    Downpipe with pneumatic coupling
Pneumatic rotary cylinder for opening/closing the container discharge valve
The downpipe made of stainless steel 1.4301 is approximately 1000 mm long.
    Discharge pipe Ø200
The discharge pipe connects the discharge station to the subsequent processing unit.
The pipe is made of stainless steel 1.4301.
Diameter DN 200, length approx. 1000 mm.

    Pneumatic Control
The discharge station is controlled by a purely pneumatic control system.
The control is installed in a control box at the discharge station.
    Operating elements:
    Container Fixing On/Off
    Discharge Valve: Open/Close
    Knocker On/Off (optional)
    Key switch: Local/Remote operation (optional)
    Compressed air supply: 6 bar.
