Sanitary Filter Receiver

The Sanitary Filter Receiver ensures optimal material-to-air separation in even the most stringent food applications, where quick clean-out and elimination of cross-contamination are critical. Its unique top material-entry design minimizes concerns about can velocity. Material entering the SFR is filtered using a cleanable, spunbonded polyester substrate equipped with an FDA-approved ePTFE membrane. The service door of the filter blow-back assembly can be unlocked effortlessly—no tools required—allowing it to swing open sideways for convenient filter replacement and easy cleaning of the SFR. The vertical filter tube sheet is seamlessly integrated into a single hinge that aligns with the service door. To fully swing out the equipped filter tube sheet and gain access to the filters, the blow-off pipes and filters from the outermost filter rows must first be removed. Once these components are taken off, the filter tube sheet can be safely slid out of the receiver without any risk of collision.

The SFR is specifically designed to minimize food contaminants and prevent cross-contamination of allergens. It has been engineered in compliance with FDA and EHEDG standards, can easily be customized to meet NFPA requirements, and ATEX-certified versions are available upon request. The SFR is constructed from DIN 1.4301 [AISI 304] stainless steel—material commonly used in food processing and dairy equipment—and features the surface finishes listed below. Other materials and finishes can also be provided based on specific customer needs. The unit is highly easy to clean, thanks to its rounded corners and completely concealed design with no hidden areas. Residue buildup is prevented entirely except in the area around the door opening, which is conveniently accessible for thorough cleaning. Filter cleaning is achieved through sequential pulses of compressed air supplied by a removable, locally mounted accumulator. The pulsing intervals are precisely controlled by an IP66 [NEMA 4X]-rated DIN 1.4301 [AISI 304] stainless steel timer panel, ensuring optimal cleaning performance every time.
