Rotary Valve BT

The Blow-Through (BT) AerolockTM configuration enhances rotor cleanout and enables installation in tight spaces. It is frequently used in applications involving sticky materials to prevent material buildup in the rotor pockets. The BT is engineered for heavy-duty industrial use, handling applications with pressure differentials of up to 0.8 bar(g) [12 psi(g)] and temperatures as high as 107.2°C [225°F].

The Blow-Through (BT) AerolockTM configuration enhances rotor cleanout and enables installation in tight spaces. The BT is engineered for heavy-duty industrial use, handling applications with pressure differentials of up to 0.8 bar(g) [12 psi(g)] and temperatures as high as 107.2°C [225°F].

The BT features eight blades that maintain a minimum two-blade labyrinth seal to minimize air leakage. The rotors are equipped with relieved tips for materials that tend to form skins or thin sheets on end plates and the housing, while non-relieved tips are used for cereal products. Additionally, the BT incorporates two tapered roller bearings—one on the thrust side and one on the drive side.

    Tool Kits
Required for the field installation of seals and bearings. The tool kit enhances Aerolock performance by minimizing premature wear caused by improper seal and bearing installation.
    The BT tool kit includes:

    • Seal driver tool for installing T3 seals, T3 inserts, and lip seals
    • Expansion tool to assist in the installation of the T3 inserts
    • bearing driver tool for installing drives and bearings
    • bearing driver tool for installing thrust end bearings

    Accessories
A complete line of accessories is available for Aerolock rotary valves: variable frequency drive controller, disconnect panel, outlet adapters, shear protectors, maintenance slide gates, sight glasses, outlet guards, surge hoppers, floor support stands, flanged transitions, and custom transitions that ensure easy integration into an existing facility.
