The K4G multi-ingredient loss-in-weight blending station was specifically engineered to meet the demands of today’s extrusion and compounding processes. It seamlessly combines high precision, minimal space requirements, flexible material handling, rapid changeovers, and easy cleanability—all within a compact, cost-effective package. A wide range of standard feeders can be utilized. The integrated system allows up to six feeders to be conveniently grouped around, such as an extruder inlet, while individual stations are also available.

DESIGN FEATURES
The K4G Blender System boasts a modular base plate, a pivoting axle SFT-II support, a central K4G collection hopper equipped with pre-cut feeding ports, and a refill support stand featuring a modular component assembly. It is compatible with a wide range of Coperion K-Tron single- or twin-screw metering devices, as well as Bulk Solids Pumps, enabling it to handle various materials such as pellets, granules, powders, flakes, and fibers.
General cabling is routed inside protected conduits. Each system component is suspended from a single point and swings outward around its axis, operating independently of any auxiliary devices. This design facilitates easy cleaning or replacement of equipment modules—such as the feeder screw—as well as simplifies the process of taking samples.
The system is entirely modular—feeders and conveyors can be exchanged or removed as needed. Each feeder comes equipped with a standalone SmartConnex control module, which includes integrated support for single loaders.The K4G system is completely modular.

For higher feed rates or special agitation requirements, Coperion K-Tron modular loss-in-weight feeders equipped with three-point weighing systems can also be integrated into the same stand.

The Coperion K-Tron K4G-L-BS6O feeder is a device specifically designed for use with the K4G system. It is ideal for gravimetric feeding of free-flowing bulk solids that don’t require either a horizontal or vertical agitator. A volumetric version, featuring a spacer instead of a load cell, is also available. This model can be combined with Coperion K-Tron modular feeders.
The single-screw feeder with an extension hopper is suspended from a single-point weighing system. The flange for the load cell is directly connected to the feeder bowl. This design allows for easy interchangeability of extension hoppers. A swivel unit is attached to the weighing system, enabling the feeder to be pivoted up to 90° away from its working position. This feature facilitates convenient cleaning, replacement of feeding tools, and sampling operations.
