Overview Introduction
Rotary Valve Conveying
Dense-phase rotary valve systems are ideal for achieving high conveying capacities, even over long distances. These capabilities are made possible by the rotary valve’s ability to withstand pressures up to 3.5 bar(g) [51 psi(g)], while minimizing leakage—and thanks to the use of the LMR-X air control unit. The high-pressure rotary valve system is perfectly suited for handling coarse granular or pellet-sized, friable, or temperature-sensitive materials, accommodating a wide range of flow rates and longer distances depending on the specific application.

Dense-phase rotary valve systems utilize high air pressure—exceeding 1 bar(g) [15 psi(g)]—and low air volume as the driving force to convey predominantly coarse granular and pellet-sized bulk solid materials through a pipeline at low velocity. This low-velocity approach makes this type of conveying particularly well-suited for fragile materials, such as coffee beans and grains, as well as plastic pellets. Specially designed ZVH rotary valves are used for the continuous, gentle handling of larger-particle-size materials like plastic pellets, coffee beans, grains, and more.
