Overview Introduction
Rotary Valve MD 1820
The Maximum-Duty (MD) 1820 Aerolock™ is one of our largest rotary valves, designed specifically for high-volume applications. The MD 1820 is widely used with some of the most demanding materials, including minerals, chemicals, fillers, food ingredients, filled pellets, PVC compounds, and diatomaceous earth. Engineered for heavy-duty to severe industrial service, this valve can handle pressure differentials of up to 1.4 bar(g) [20 psi(g)] and/or temperatures as high as 121°C [250°F]. Its exceptional ability to withstand extreme shock loads and elevated temperatures makes the MD 1820 Aerolock a true "maximum-duty" performer.

The MD 1820 features a ten-blade rotor that maintains a minimum three-blade labyrinth seal to minimize air leakage. The ten-blade rotor is available with either flat or relieved tips, offering several rotor options. Additionally, the MD 1820 includes a single radial ball bearing on the drive side and two tapered roller bearings on the thrust side.
